Scaffolding Coordinator

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Fill out time cards correctly by knowing the contract and item number(s) of current jobs.
• Perform daily inspections, tagging each scaffold correctly.
• Attend meetings as requested by the customer.
• Know how to write both technical and conditional reports.
• Estimate jobs, to include man hours and materials needed for a quote to be submitted.
• Report any incidents in a timely manner.
• Construct multiple scaffolds, i.e. stationary, hanging, and/or rolling platforms, safely using the proper hanging techniques.

• Able to withstand environmental factors such as:
  • Outside weather conditions
  • High, precarious places
  • Exposed to fumes and airborne particles
  • Very loud noise level
• Required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, feel, and reach with hands and arms on a regular basis.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. and seek assistance with weights over 50 lbs.
• Occasionally perform other physical activities as required, such as:
  • Stooping
  • Bending
  • Squatting
  • Climbing (including but not limited to, vertical and incline ladders, masts, and kingposts)
  • Crawling (including but not limited to, through scuttles, manhole covers, tanks, and voids)

Experience Requirements:

• Knowledge of OSHA 1915 for Shipyard and OSHA 1926 for Commercial.
• 10+ years of Scaffold building experience.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience.

Other Requirements:

• Must be able to obtain a Government facility security pass.
• Must be able to pass a Drug Screening and Workability Screening.
