Chesapeake, Virginia Maritime related company is looking for an IT, Cyber Security and CMMC Manager to join our family. We’re looking for an outgoing individual who is interested in eventually owning part of the company through an ESOP opportunity.

The position is responsible for:

Strategic Planning:

Develop and implement IT strategies and initiatives

Collaborate with management to determine technology needs and priorities.

IT Infrastructure Management:

Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware, software, and networking systems. Ensure the availability, security, and reliability of IT infrastructure components. Evaluate and recommend technology upgrades/replacements.

Cyber Security and CMMC:

Implement and enforce cybersecurity measures to protect against threats.

Develop and execute a plan for implementing the CMMC framework within the organization.

Participate in cybersecurity incident investigations and coordinate actions to mitigate and remediate incidents.

Conduct post-incident reviews to identify lessons learned and make recommendations for enhancing incident response procedures.

Team Leadership:

Supervise a team of IT professionals, delegating tasks and projects in an effective manner.

Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, promoting professional development.

IT Operations Management:

Monitor system performance, network traffic, and security to identify and resolve issues promptly.

Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards to maintain data integrity and security.

Manage IT budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective procurement of hardware and software.

User Support and Training:

Provide technical assistance and support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.

Develop training programs to educate employees and promote user awareness and compliance with IT policies and best practices.

Business Continuity:

Manage and enhance disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

Ensure data backups are performed regularly and can be restored successfully.

Education/Experience

• 5+ years of directly related experience in IT management, security assessment, and compliance
• Cloud computing security
• Configuration and administration of network equipment
• VMWare
• Security governance and policy
• Security risk analysis
• Logging and monitoring systems
• Scanning and vulnerability management systems
• Advanced Malware Protection
• Threat Intelligence
• Incident Management - analysis, detection and handling of security events
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent professional certification

Additional Qualifications

• Full United States Citizenship
• U.S. Government issued SECRET or above clearance may be required
• Previous experience with CMMC a plus
