Summary:
Plans and prepares production schedules and coordinates flow of work.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Creates master production schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each job to meet proposed completion dates.
- Establishes priorities for specific customer orders, and revises schedule according to work order specifications, established priorities, and availability.
- Compiles reports concerning progress of work and downtime to apprise production planning personnel delays.
- Plans and schedules workflow for each department and operation according to previously established lead times.
- Plans sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations for guidance of production workers.
- Confers with department supervisors to determine status of assigned projects.
- Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
- Prepares production reports.
- May use computer system to track job progress.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Able to withstand environmental factors such as:
o Outside weather conditions
o High, precarious places
o Exposed to fumes and airborne particles
o Very loud noise level
- Required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, feel, and reach with hands and arms on a regular basis.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. and seek assistance with weights over 50 lbs.
- Occasionally perform other physical activities as required, such as:
o Stooping
o Bending
o Squatting
o Climbing (including but not limited to, vertical and incline ladders, masts, and king posts)
o Crawling (including but not limited to, through scuttles, manhole covers, tanks, and voids)
Experience Requirements:
- General knowledge of all trades.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.
- 5+ years Project Management experience.
Other Requirements:
- Must be able to pass a Drug Screening and Workability Screening.
